| The
brief for this project was to visually unite the two halves
of a recently extended community centre. Improvements
included pathways, gardens, decks, seating areas, a noticeboard,
bin keep and the lady bird letterbox (above). Concepts
were developed in conjunction with a community reference
group, with works completed by a Community Jobs Plan team.
Insects feature throughout the work as several significant
insect-related events occured during the project : the
local landscape supplier was closed down to prevent the
spread of fireants and the centre was plagued with redbacks.
An ant shaped brand was developed during the project and
timber seating was 'branded' with trails of 'fireants'. |
