| The
millenium seating node, located in the cultural centre
parklands, incorporates fibre optic lighting in the central
seating dome and the concrete surround. The concept design
was a collaboration between Russell and senior art students
at the local high school. Design development was undertaken
by Russell who was again assisted by students in the fabrication
and installation stages. The lights are powered by three
32 watt solar panels mounted on totems around the seat.
All batteries and control gears are housed in the centre
of the seat. See Millenium
Seat Lighting for more information. |
