| Chooks
Shed was a misused BBQ shelter in Humpybong Park, Redcliffe.
The brief was to turn it into a lockable workshop venue
and give the space a facelift. Two 3x3 m custom designed
doors were built and surfaced with large mosaic works,
the concept design and construction of which were undertaken
by clients, support workers, community members and artsworkers.
Steel windows and skylights were added to increase light
in the space. The roof fascia was replaced, broken BBQs
were removed and the building was painted to complete
the transformation. |
