| The
idea behind my work is the melding of whimsy and absurdity.
In this case I wanted to take a simple task and make it
as hard as possible ie cutting a potato. To make the machine
work the 'driver' moves the hand and foot levers to make
the 'leg' move around the yellow platform. This in turn
raises and lowers knives which cut the potatoes. A squeegee
than scoops them all onto a section of the chopping board,
and dumps them into a deep fryer pan. |
