Brisbane Festival 1996
Project: Bubble Machine
Client: Brisbane City Council
Completed: 1996

Materials: Acrylic sphere, wheelchair motors and controllers, scrap steel, various electrical components
Features: 3 large bubble blowers, 3 small bubble blowers, stair climbing & wheel stand capabilities (at driver's own risk)

The first Bubble Machine was produced in six weeks specifically for the Brisbane Festival Street Parade. After the Bubble Machine's initial and successful performance in the Brisbane Festival, it was exhibited at Gallery 482, South Bank's Festival of Lights Christmas Parade and LIVID. Built entirely out of discarded electric wheelchair parts, the Bubble Machine has been suprisingly reliable. The creation of Bubble Machine II forced the early retirement of the orginal Bubble Machine, which is now availble for purchase.
